This Thanksgiving was DIFFERENT from any other. Of course it was sunny, 86 degrees, and on an island paradise so that PROBABLYYY explains why.
I began my day by going for a walk/run with my grandmother. (This is kind of our thing when we go away together). The island has a beautiful bridge that we decided to walk over today. It truly seems meant to be that TODAY I stumbled upon these Locks of Love. The gesture is very similar to the tradition in Paris on the Pont des Arts.
It was the perfect reminder that today, and every day, we need to be grateful for life and all of its love.
The remainder of the day was spent on the beach – during the day and the evening. Thanksgiving Dinner was much different than usual. La Cigale was beautiful and delicious. NO TURKEY or PUMPKIN PIE but it was quite okay with me. Lobster ravioli, french sea bass, and grand marnier soufflé were just as good!
Loved not having to bundle up for the holiday! However, I decided to still stick with fall colors in honor of the season.

Although the island residents do not celebrate our holiday, they certainly made it extra special for us.
I hope your day was filled with love and gratitude.
